Watch out for weak points!

All roofs are strongly affected by sunlight, but just as much by air pollutants and flue gases from the chimney. If you have a sheet metal roof, you risk water pooling in depressions and channels which can create problems in the long run. Joints and connections around the chimney and vent holes must be carefully inspected.
