Why should you rust-proof your car?

Most of us know that rust, in the form of rust damage, proves costly for car owners every year. Rust corrosion is not always visible to begin with. It creeps up on you, appearing, for example, on the insides of doors, sill boxes and other enclosed cavities.

These are a few factors of importance in the causes of rust:
• The cars construction.
• Climate and environment, ie. if the roads have been salted, the ambient humidity levels.
• How you take care of your car.
• Not using cold degreasing on the car’s windows so that it can creep into the doors and dissolve rust protection.

Check your car’s rust protection every year, as shown in the Hagmans Do-it-yourself folder.
