Grip On Roof Tile Glaze Paint
Save your roof
Take care of your house in time and save money!
Regular maintenance of the roof and facade is a cost-saving solution compared with investing in a new one. Hagmans has a long tradition within the area of maintenance of sheet metal surfaces and our products have, over the years, been diligently used by both professionals and do-it-yourselfers. We are therefore well-informed about those tough requirements which must be placed on a good sheet metal product.
If you have a roof with roof tiling or cement tiles which are getting on in years, it is high time that you checked them out. No insurance policy replaces leakage damage caused by deficient maintenance. If you wait too long, the damage can become very expensive.
Watch out for weak points
All roofs and facades are strongly affected by sunlight, but also by pollutants and flue gases from the chimney. Rust spots on sheet metal are also alarming. If you have a sheet metal roof, you risk water pooling in depressions and channels, which can cause problems in the long-run. Joints and connections around the chimney and vent holes must be carefully inspected. Hagmans has products which will protect your roof. |

Three important requirements
Good adhesion. For satisfactory, long-term protection, it is important that the maintenance product be able to interact with the foundation as well as possible.
Water resistance. The roof must withstand the elements as well as strong downpours for long periods of time. It must also withstand water collection which often occurs in depressions and channels. Hagmans maintenance products for roofs are thoroughly tested to withstand difficult conditions.
Weather resistance. The roof is affected by the sunlight and also by those pollutants in the air, such as flue gases from the chimney. Hagmans products are strong and durable and provide satisfactory protection for many years.
Product description for Roof Tile Glaze:
Makes your roof look like new. The glaze is used to achieve a water-resistant surface which resists growth such as moss and green and black algae, making it difficult for them to get a foothold. In addition to these properties, the product is water resistant during the first year.
Areas of use:
Only intended for use on absorbing foundations such as cement tiles, roof tiling, cement garden tiles, bricks, untreated house foundations, pressure-impregnated wood, sleepers, etc,
Any splashes must be immediately removed with water.
Instructions:
1. Preparation
Surfaces to be treated must be free from moss, algae, etc. Clean with Hagmans Roof/Facade Wash according to directions. (Wooden gratings which have black mould must be treated with Chlorine.)
2. Repair tiles
If you have broken tiles, you can easily repair these with Steel Plastic Epoxy Filler.
3. Instructions for use including application
The surface being treated must be dry in order to achieve the best absorption levels. The product must be diluted to one part concentrate with three parts water in order to achieve maximum absorption into the surface.
Apply using a paintbrush or low-pressure spray gun. For best results we recommend two coat. The second coat must be applied within four hours. Diluted products must be stirred at 15-minute intervals in order to avoid blotchy surfaces.
We recommend that the roof be completed in sections in order to avoid having too large a surface to work on at once.
The product reaches its water resistant (hydrophobic) properties after a few days. If further treatment is desired after this property has been reached, then the following must be done: on cement surfaces use Roof/Façade Wash diluted 01:10 with water and work the area over with a brush, rinse with water and then treat the surface with TPL once more. If the surface to be renovated is wood, use the same wash as above but work over with a Scotch Brite sponge, rinse and treat the surface with TPL. |
